noisy gear drive brand new. Edelbrock performer rpm intake

I have a brand new gear drive I never used but did bolt it on my engine. It did not clear my aluminum timing cover so I wentback with my double roller. I have the reciept and box like I said it was bolted up but not ran. I cant send it back because you can tell it was bolted on. Make offer I paid 99.99 asking $75 obo
