Alright guys, so my new Dell 17R is here and I'm ready to get rid of the E1505. It's formatting as we speak to load it with Windows XP Home 32bit which is what it came with. I can load pretty much any 32bit OS on it that you guys want - getting the keys to activate them is up to you (if you go with somthing other than XP Home)... 
It has the Core Duo processor in it (pre Core 2 Duo), 3gb of memory, I think it has a 250gb harddrive. Heavily used, but it still runs like a champ. As with all E1505s, it runs hot. I used i8kfanGUI 3.0 to keep the fans on high 24/7 which kept it around 80*F. All in all, it's been a great laptop.
The negatives: The battery is completely gone, unplug and it will die in 5-10 minutes. It could definitely use a new palm rest cover if the grungy one bothers you
Can get one brand new on ebay for $40. The good thing about this computer is that it's DEFINITELY upgradable. The motherboard has the right socket for the Core 2 Duo CPU so theoretically you could upgrade it to the Core2Duo and even more memory. It's only maxed out at 3gb because of the 32bit operating system.
That said - because I used to be a dell certified tech, if anyone wants me to do any upgrades to it before sending it to you - send me a PM and we can discuss. I can swap the cases before sending it, upgrade the CPU, etc. S'all good, just let me know.
Looking to get $100 but I'll take reasonable offers.
