  • need a good running 3800 96 bird

the red firebird that was bought in the spring on here had a water pump go bad, her brother drove it not paying attention and over heated it, now there is massive knocking, lol we all know that sound. so we are in need of a good one at a good price, she is like 7 or 8 monh=ths pregnant. and now no ride.

checking of a rebuild with new bearings rings lifters and crank turned, maybe cheaper than used motor. not sure. my buddy is going to check prices at his shop, used seem to run $500 to $700 if not more im hearing, i had my 93 lt1 redone for under 5 with out machine work. this is the 3800 so im looking for $$$$$ amount

Ahhh sorry to hear that. In that short time I owned that firebird it seemed like that car had a heart of gold... never wanted to quit even when Jenty drove it home on 4 cylinders!! Hopefully you can get it fixed up, but if not I know there are some great parts on that car that, with the help of this site, wouldnt go to waste and would help you get your money back out of the car. I know thats not the most desirable option with a baby on the way though...
