93-94 opti msd cap and rotor never used !!!

i have a non vented..msd cap and rotor i bought from a guy on a forum site a month or so ago.. he never installed it.. and when i ordered my cam from lloyd elliot i orderd the cam for a 95 up and for got the optis are differant.. now i have to get the 95 up vented one.. i already found a opti... so just need to sell this cap and rotor.. will load a pic soon if need .. i think i even have the box still.. like to get 100.00 for shipped... thats what i paid for it..nothing like saving 50.00 off new

also let me know if you find a vented one for sale somwhere..

Im trying to find a Opti for my 94 right now. Whats the difference between the cap and rotor and the whole assembly? How can I tell if I only need the cap and rotor? Sorry if its a dumb question, Im just confused on why there is such a huge difference in price from the cap and rotor to the whole opti??

The cap and rotor,is just that..like changing the cap and rotor on a HEI distributor....The whole assembley is the opti (distributor)cap and rotor..make sure if you buy The MSD cap and rotor,that you use lock tite on the rotor screws and you use RTV sealant to seal the cap up..

the 94 have a differant pick up off the cam them the 95's and are non vented.... they had a lot of issues with the earlier non vented opti's thats why they went to the vented kind in 95 allows for less moisture build up .. in order to up grade to the 95 vented kind you have to change cams and timing covers ...

my motor is a 93 but orderd the cam it came for a 95 cuz so likly i had a 95 motor with a opti on it.. now have to sell this non vented cap and rotor and get one for the 95 vented
