I'm just looking for a cheaper way out of having to unhook everything and drop my motor to install a bigger cam. And if i were to go with this would i need supporting mods such as springs/rr to allow for the bigger lift?
Yes you can take the raditor out and there is BARELY enough room. You should have springs and RR with any cam. A hot cam will work with stock heads just fine. In fact, Joels car made 373 on stock heads. If you do have work done to the heads, you will make more but it all depends what number you want, and how much $$ you want to part with.

Agreed, hotcam is designed to work with stock heads. And Joels car made that power with "cleaned up" heads, and a bump in CR

Alright thanks. So if I ended up just going with the cam, 1.6rr and new springs, what would be the best way to go about replacing these? Does the motor have to be dropped or can the front clip and radiator just be taken off to get to the stock cam... i'm wanting to go with the cc503

just pull the radiator - leave the motor in the car

Bruce at aggressive performance did mine. It was the kit from summitt, 1.6 rockers, and springs, lt4 hot cam. Also jet hot long tubes no cats and had a tune to make it all work right.
