I was not dealing for the engine,it was a different deal..The point being,when you make a deal you stick to it..He is young,So I say :"Time out for you"..There is a pattern to his so called "deals".

As others have said, its the principle of the whole thing.. it was gone about very badly.. Really has nothing to do with a 150 dollar engine, I personally could care less about that, its the ethics and integrity of the whole thing.. " it was as if yeah I sold it, big deal, you all just can suck wind, I got my money" I personally only deal with people who stand behind stuff- for instance, when I send sean a PM saying, hey I want it and I will come get it, next sunday, its a common understanding between two people that its a done deal, when he posted this he KNEW his neighbor was interested, so he SHOULDNT have posted it till he knew more from his neighbor, but instead he gets pissy and tells people to chill out.. BAD DEAL MAKING SKILLS!!!

I was raised the ONLY thing in this world you have is your WORD, the minute its no good cause you ruined it by your actions, then your not worth anything either..

I don't understand why you all are so pissed about the situation as I was the first person to say I will buy it in this this thread!!!!!!!!! I was planning to pick it to this afternoon.

Anyone can say they want it and but people are not reliable. I stick to my word when I say things but not all people are like that, people make excuses, stop returning calls or back out of transactions all the time.

Its sold...to a forum member or a neighbor, he got his money before anyone of use could get there. I also agree with the others as you don't set up a date and time then sell it to someone else. But whatever, life goes on.

Contractual law would dictate that NOT a done deal and would rule in his favor. Your offer of his asking price requires his acceptance to be a done deal.

100% fact.. a deal is not done until money is exchanged.. word of mouth doesnt mean shit unless there is a deposit. obviously he had interest in it before he posted and normal way of dealing is first one to speak up gets it. in this case it was his neighbor followed by brian. so either way all the rest of you were screwed b/c brian would have taken it. now thats if you with with the principle of first to speak. so you all need to just chill the hell out.
