I would consider trading the tail lights on my 96 camaro for your 97-02's... the one question I would have is: do all of the lights operate as they should on a 96? In other words, does the orange part work as the blinker or is it not able to be hooked up in the same way? Mine are in basically perfect condition as well.

you need a 97+ tailight harness. its a real simple to do. and nate you should easily get $50 for these. i paid $100 for my set on tech. perfect shape. they go for that all day. this is a great deal.

edit: my suggestion would be if you 2 traded taillights then you should trade tail light harnesses too.

My car is 96 harness, so I will need to keep it.

IDK what is involved in your harness but if you want to swap tails, let me know.

when you hit the breaks do the ambers light up? 93-96 had a 4wire harness as to the 97+ had a 5. they share the same connector but a variation in wires. plus the bulb connectors were diffrent IIRC

no because i pulled the bulb. Currently my ambers do not light up, my turn signals blink red.

I will definitely trade tail lights and the harness for your 97 to 02 tails and harness.... I would like to get some help so you can show me/help me on how to take the harness out, but if you are up for it, then I am completely willing to do the swap. Let me know. If you want to call or text, my number is 269-830-6722. My name is Doug. I hope to hear from you about this.

I have a set of LT1 tailights that i was going to swap into my 98Z, and nightshade them. I would be willing to trade for your LS1 Tailights(97-2002) if you ever come to the eastside of the state, as long as your tailights are in decent shape. Mine were bought on the forum, and are in good shape, some wax residue and small scratches, nothing major. I'm just outside of Detroit, and i see your out past Lansing. If not no problem, i'm gonna nightshade the LT1's so they bland nicely with the Berger panel i have.
