I've got an idea for you. Contact Classic Chambered Industries, buy their mufflers and build a GMMG clone exhaust. Price it at $400 and you will sell TONS of them. I would hate to see it happen because GMMG would become MUCH more common, but I would love to see that exhaust priced reasonably.

Or some locally available stainless headers for the LS1 F-Body's like what is being sold on EBAY. To have a local vendor selling those headers would be nice to have, as i am very hesitant to deal with any EBAY vendors, but a local guy i wouldn't mind throwing some money at. My coated headers are not going to last forever, so when someone local steps up, i'll grab a set as backup headers.

Those LS1 ebay headers fit like CRAP. I have a set on my TA and they rub in more than 3 spots!!!! I am working on redoing headers right now just like you want, but they will FIT! I can get anything else now but won't get you LS1 headers because they suck, all else is good though... Y's duals, LT1 stuff, etc.

                All PM's responded!

werd, i couldnt believe someone thought it was acceptable to put a primary in the exact location of a spark plug.

obviously they aren't the same design he has then, or you used a lower profile plug wire than stock. Its not like there is a lot of variation from car to car in where the exhaust ports are in relation to the spark plugs.... id say those tolerances are pretty consistent.

+1.....Check around on LS1TECH.com and there are alot of happy customers with the EBAY headers, just have to make sure you put in new MM's at the same time, now there might be a couple of designs with one having the problems that Superman09 has seen, but i would be interested to see if there are different designs, as $150-200 for stainless headers is a great deal...albeit i know that the EBAY headers are a thinner gauge tube than say a set of Kooks or ARH's or such, but my car is only a summer warm day car, and doesn't see daily driver duties.

Maybe we need to find out which vendor Derek got his from and see if those can bebought and sold locally.
