The guy I partner with on this does a little of both. A lot of sanding by hand with small tools for all the nooks and crannies, and I mean ALL! Uses a buffer where he can and all that fun stuff. Tools depends on the job, but he can make anything like chrome!Originally posted by Fbomb View PostWow Johnny. You do it all by hand or use a benchtop buffer?
ALSO ***** The update on this is VERY MINIMAL! Most people think it would be a pain, but it's exactly the opposite! Don't touch it for a year and it would still look good, although if you keep up with it maybe one a month or every two months with a simple 10-15 minute clean up with some basic simichrome and a microfiber and it will always look like new! And to prove this, it is why we offer re-polishing and only $20 on LARGE items!!!!sigpic

an option to clear them might not be a bad idea. But I think the material to clear polished aluminum is very expensive. If I buy polished aluminum wheels I will very tempted to clear them so the upkeep is simple.
