Hey fred, I'm debating this, are you firm on price? it looks like this lid is having the typical cracks for these lids. Are there any real bad marks that I couldn't polish off? Or cracks that are beyond what some clear silicone could handle? I miss my old clear lid. I have an slp lid right now, but you probably want one in better shape than mine. Mine has few marks on it from the previous owner, but all in all it looks pretty good (especially when armor all'd) it also has an nitrous fitting for where a dry shot could go. The Back of it has been cut by the previous owner to get it to fit on the MAF better as well.

Shoot me an offer Derek... I'll cut ya a deal And send me some pics of your's please

The cracks are on the bottom, you can't even see them really with the bellows on. The scratches (more like scuffs) on top could be wet sanded and polished. Again you really can't see them unless you take the lid off and hold it up to a light. If you're not happy with it, I'd refund your money no questions asked.

I wouldn't be able to ship it until the end of the week after I drive it to the tint shop and back. Then the car is done for the year and ready for modifications

I'll shoot you a picture of mine tomorrow, I don't feel like walking out to the barn again tonight haha. Are there any GV students that live near you? maybe they could take it over and bring my lid back over Christmas break to save us both some dough! Otherwise I may still buy it outright. what to do, what to do!

Actually yes, I have friends in Hudsonville and Allegan. I'll probably be heading out to Hudsonville myself over the break to go snowboarding.

Changed my mind, attached are a few pics, you can see the scuff on the top and scratches real well (thanks to the barn being dark and camera flash on). The lid looks better in daylight and after a good coat of armor all/cleaning. The engine bay has not been detailed since the GVSU car show last spring, so disregard the bounce sheets and dusty spots haha.

Looks pretty good. Do you think the scratches/scuffs would disappear with a little propane torch love?

have people done that to slp lids? I don't know if I would dare in fear of melting it too much and having smooth spots.

Idk, was just thinkin' out loud... I've seen people do it to interior plastics

EDIT: Heat gun would probably be slightly safer than a propane torch

yeah, propane torch is a little quicker to burn things haha! Let me know what you want to do, I'm still bouncing back and forth myself, if you want a new or mint condition slp lid I can totally understand. I've bought and sold about 4 lids in the 2 years that I've had my car and at the end of the day I still wish I had the clear lid that I had on my old v6 lol.

Haha same here. I think the clear lid is cool, just want to try out the SLP lid for a while.. Battery is now painted satin black so things are moving in the right direction. lol

no worries! Once I start working full time and stop being cheap I'll probably just buy a brand new one lol.
