tell me more about the 3800.. stock cam? performance cam? what is the lift duration separation and overlap?

why does it need one connecting rod>?
was the 3800 sc? it makes a diff in what connecting rods in the engine

what about the crank and main bearings? you say fresh block. so im guessing engine was tore apart cleaned and rebuilt? but no new bearings or crank polish?

All components were purchased with a kit from Northern Auto parts as an engine "Master Kit"
The engine ran very well - moreso with this kit. Not sure if the cam is a step up or if it was the bore size, but it pulled hard.
This was a Vin K motor, non-supercharged. (I do have a set of Vin 1 S/C rods if you want them)
It needs one connecting rod because the rod was not re-sized correctly by Rogers Crank and Machine, and it trashed the bearing on rod #5. All other bearings were perfect. (Not to mention a cracked head he failed to find but machined them anyway). I pulled it down because it started to knock at around 700 miles.
If you really wanted to re-use the bearings, you probably could. They were in good shape.
Yes...The engine was completely re-built from scratch. New block, new balance shaft bushings, cam bearings etc. Ground up.
The block was bored and honed. The Crank was ground and polished.
The Front Cover with Oil pump is New GM.
The Heads are fresh and still in plastic bags.
        But...Because of a SHITTY MACHINIST, I lost a $2100+ investment.

I'm looking to get rid of it, otherwise It will need to be re-machined from sitting for too long.
It's a great deal if you've got the time.
