  • FS: SBC heads

I have never used them I got them from somone in a pay out for a truck I sold.. I was told they are 72cc heads (dont know how to verify) deffinatly carb style heads not sure on year though. One is complete the other is missing rocker arms, both deffinatly need to be cleaned up and have some paint on them.

looking to get 50.00 (picked up or + shipping) for the pair will supply pics/head numbers if asked for.

located in Grand Rapids, MI will drive to meet up or deliver for gas

SBC heads will NOT go on an LT1. LT1 heads are reversed cooled. Different port sizes and positions I think.....

Unless you have another 355 that isn't a LT1. I'm just assuming that.

NOT AN LT1. . . it's a 355 SBC, carbed, It needs a rebuild and a pair of heads, intake, and a carb.

LT1 heads can be made to work on a standard gen I.

But he also has a reg 355 as well as the roadmaster LT1.

You hit the nail on the head! I'm considering going the carb'd route with my 'maro, probably be an easier install, plus it's a little more unique than the regular LT1 swap.

If unique means cowl cutting and bad gas mileage.

Yeah, I know, but my car is going to be fast! I'll be sure to find a way around having to cut the cowl and I won't have to worry about gas mileage, I'll just borrow dad's car. . . lmao

Is that part of the manifold sawzall'd off still on the head with the studs stuck in it?!?!

Those are swirl port heads, a.k.a. fuel economy heads. They are off a truck most likely and not good for performance. They literally have swirled ramps in the intake ports that restrict airflow to create better fuel atomization.
