  • Guaging interest. 1994 LT1 350 Long block (almost complete)

I am going in another direction, and am selling my stock motor. It is a 1994 aluminum headed LT1 with 165,000 miles. Dont let the millage scare ya off. Just 5,000 miles ago we pulled the motor apart and put in new gaskets, berings (mains and rods), oilpump and pickup, intake gaskets, and timing chain. The original berings looked beautiful. With a TH350 and 3600 converter this motor ran 12.81 @ 106 mph with a 1.71 60 ft. in a 3600 lbs car. The motor has LT4 valve springs and GMPP 1.6 roller rockers. I am leaving the intake, throttle body, stock valve covers, and timing cover on it. I will probably be taking some of the sensors, headers, mounts, waterpump, and opti. The only reason im pulling it out of the car is because I got a deal on something that I couldnt pass up, so this has to go. I will be pulling it out in early spring. I am currently driving the car to work 2-3 days a week, so if someone wanted to hear it run or ride in it that could be arranged between than and now. I think for as complete as the motor is $1000 obo is a fair price. The valve springs and rockers alone go for over $300 dollars. Than the berings, oilpump, bering, and gaskets on top of it. Let me know what you think. Eric L

No, not going LSx. To be honest, I love this car the way it is, LOVE IT. I just got an offer I couldnt refuse. Its pretty much set in stone, cause the guy im dealing with is, if nothing else, 110% reliable and honest. Hes changing setups, and I fell into his old one. The car will still be mild and streetable. I just want the speedometer and tachometer to move a little faster when I hit the loud pedal. Im getting a GREAT combonation of parts for a great price, I just feel that it needs a little tweaking to be perfect for what I want. So im tearing this new motor down and putting it together a little differant. I dont want to change the car to much because of how original and virgin it is. Anyone whos seen the car can vouch for that. Cause if i were to do anything to change it, it would be a Th350 and a 3800 stall, cause I likes me a BIG ASSED converter, lol. Eric L

And Sean, I dont know where you get your information, but your usually pretty accurate. Its almost scary. Its like your freekin psycic. Ill post more details on the new motor when im allowed to. My project isnt secret, but his is, so out of respect to him, im keeping the specs under wraps, cause if i let them out, people will know who it is, and that aint my business, lol. Eric L

And i will also add people, that this motor that is forsale, IS A FREAK. Makes awsome power for what it is. Trapped 106 mph consistantly with shorty headers and flowmaster catback and stock TB. Pretty good mph considering the big sloppy converter that was behind it at the time. Won a couple bracket races with it. And I have a spare opti to throw on it if someone needs it, cause im keeping the one thats on it. Its an older opti, but it worked great. Only changed cause i had the motor out. And I have time slips to back up the claims. Thanks Eric L
