  • ls1 upper radiator support, for lt1 guys?

    i have a extra one laying around $35, not sure if a few lt1 guys would wanna try and goto a lid setup like joel

    yes that would be sweet i hate my SS intake. lol

    I'll see if i can get some free time and some cash to get this off your hands

            only thing im worried about is joel has the smaller elec water pump and i have the longer which will give me issues with the fans.

              i dont even have an electric water pump do they really help that much?

                Only at the track because you can run it between passes to cool the engine. They say they don't flow enough for long trips on the road, but they do save you some power loss.

                Used to own a Firebird.

                    They are worth a decent amount of power, especially up top. Gains of about 10rwhp are common.

                      The electric water pumps flow at a steady rate whereas your mechanical water pump flows in ratio to RPMs. Faster the RPMs, the faster the pump flows. So in theory, when you're at a higher RPM the mechanical water pump is going to outflow the electrical water pump.

                            EWP's for an LT1 are only like $150-$200 new. Its a very common mod. IIRC, the LS1 EWP's are quite a bit more expensive
