for a 96 camaro z28, so i need the vented type. mine took a shit and im trying to stretch money here. i know some guys recently did ls1 computer swaps so there has to be decent ones out there. if not the cars on craigslist for $4,000 and im really at the point of not caring for it anymore. this is the 3rd one ive gone threw and im just tired of dealing with modding and being broke and braking parts.

lol sorry got a little off topic.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but I'm letting you know if you cheap out on the Opti you're just going to run into the same problem again. Accel and other refurbished optis have a very high fail rate. If you save and purchase a GM Performance (AC Delco) or MSD Opti and take care of it I'm sure you won't run into trouble for a long time. I ran 120k on the original opti and now 10k on my new AC Delco opti.

I believe a good cheap option is a seller on E-bay known as ThePartsLadi, however, I believe the seller had to change her user name and now I have no idea who they are. I could find out for you though.

2 Optis through ThePartsLadi? To my understanding this seller sells AC Delco Optis dirt cheap and are extremely reliable. There's also another seller who apparently puts a lifetime warranty on his.

yup one didnt even last 5 minutes of idling. the other one lasted a season. the original one went about 130,000 miles. im just sick of the car, im sick of spending money into stuff that is just proven to fail time and time again.
