if its an actual 2:73 wich would be odd in that, my car was a 94 v6 firebird with a 3:23 rear. that would have to have been a special order to go that low wouldnt it????

I believe in 94 the 2.73 gear was the standard gear ratio and the 3.23 was an option called " performance axle ratio " I have a club member with a 94 Trans Am with 2.73 gears. I may be wrong on this, but I will say I'm 99% sure I'm right. I would say your car was a dealer ordered car with no options checked. I used to sell cars and we would order 1 of everything this way for our ad car. Back in those days we would put it in the paper with the GM Employee discount and all rebates with the * behind the price. It made for a cheap car to bring the customers in, then switch them to a car with options when they wanted them.

cool, mine had the 3:23 with power window power locks,, 2nd gear start and so on like the ta cept it has cloth seats instead of leather, and it was the V6 car.

                            Are these still available? I don't know if I missed it but are these for a series 2 carrier? I have a 98 ls1 with 2.73's and I know I have a series 2.
