I have a 10" MTX Thunder5500 series sub in an enclosed box and a MTX 4002 amplifier (1200 watt total I believe) for sale. Bought them a couple years ago and had them in my truck but never put them in the Camaro. The ten inch really pounds and is a great complement to nice speakers, plus the amp can handle a lot so if you have another sub or bigger sub it will power it no problem. Will take $100 for both or $50 each.

I bought the sub at Best Buy brand new and I bought the amp off of a friend of mine brand new. He was going to put a system in his car but never got the money to get it all together so he just sold it to me. As far as a model number, I got nothing. It's just a MTX 4002 series amp. If you google that you will get some more specific info on it.sigpic

who cares the model number I will tell you right now $100 for both of those is a great deal and $50 for that AMP is a STEAL. MTX is high good quality stuff I have the 801D class amp pushing my system.sigpic

Exactly. In the three cars I had a system in, I've ALWAYS had MTX stuff. They have great sound quality as far as the subs and the amp's are top notch and can handle a lot of power. Plus they are a reasonable price compared to some other high end brands.Originally posted by Darrenscamaro View Postwho cares the model number I will tell you right now $100 for both of those is a great deal and $50 for that AMP is a STEAL. Oh dude sorry to misinform you. I just looked at the original post and that is a TYPO! lol Yea that definitely won't push 4 12's. I was powering 2 10" MTX's in my old car no problemOriginally posted by WS6_KID View Postwell not to make anyone mad but the amp isnt 1200 watts, its 200 wattsto 2 speakers, not enough to push the 4 12s i have in the back of my jeep, sorry, right now i have 2 12in. orion cobalts, with a 1000watt boston amp, and i just bought 2 12in. alpine type Rs theyre right around 1200 watts per woofer....Can I hear you now....WHATsigpic

Wont push 4 12's but there are not many amps on the market that would push 4 12's very well. I would have no problem hooking this amp up to 2 12's. I would run them at 1ohm and bridge the subs to the amp it would sound great. The thing about MTX is their stuff is under rated. Most other amps well almost ALL other amps are over rated. Like I said I have the MTX 801D class amp and it pushes two BIG 12's no problem...sigpic
