with an electric cutout you will still need an actual cutout, the electric part is just the plate.Doing less with more

Actually ive never heard of a remote controlled cutout before...thats actually a good idea to me....you would not have to run wires into your console and have a cheesy looking switch sticking out of your ashtray or little "cell phone" cubby under the radio. Some look ok, but ive seen some that look horrible IMHO. I wonder how it works though. radio waves or something??Originally posted by Fbomb View PostI saw a few on Ebay...the cheapest ones have a remote to open/close them. WTF would you control your cutout with a remote and not a switch?!sigpic

If your car is always gonna have cats and your not going to have headers just go with the standard cutout and leave it uncapped thats how my exhaust was before the header install and you seemed to like it. If your gonna be installing headers in the near future go with the electric cutoutOriginally posted by 1qwikSS View PostActually ive never heard of a remote controlled cutout before...thats actually a good idea to me....you would not have to run wires into your console and have a cheesy looking switch sticking out of your ashtray or little "cell phone" cubby under the radio. You'd still have to run power wires to the control box for the cutout, then there's a small keychain remote that controls it. Honestly I'd just rather have a toggle switch mounted somewhere in my controls or in the ashtray like I'm going to do. I think the remote control is just for show while you're standing away from the car kinda like a "hey dude watch this!"
