  • ls1 casting 241 heads

    have a set of 241 heads off a 2003 corvette ls1, they have 7000 miles on them when i bought them, was going to put on my car but now going in different direction so i dont need these anymore,will fit camaros, transam, firebirds with ls1 motor, they are centerbolt design, 250 or best offer seems like a good price to start.

    Pacesetter LT Race Headers, Volant CAI, 3.23 gears, Still working on it.

    i have it on craigslist for 200 so new price is 200 obo

      Might want to PM s.reef. I think he was looking for some 241's.

          what is benefit of these?

          I am kinda new but exploring some performance upgrades to my 99 ss. What kind of power gains could I expect from these? Would they go right onto a stock bottom end ls1 or would I have to change other things as well?

            they are basically upgrades to the 853 heads, i believe with these heads put on the ls1 would have 350 stock horsepower instead of the 305 stock that came on 99 z28 versions, since u have an ss it would probably be around 360 or 370 stock, dont quote me on that im not exactly an expert on this stuff yet but i believe that they would do that much cause that what the 03 corvette ls1 put out and that was the only thing i saw that made a difference


            the list goes from worst heads to best heads for ls1
            806 heads worst
            853 heads not great
            241 heads noticible upgrade
            and the best are 243

              325HP with ram air, 310HP without...


              They never made a factory 98'+ Camaro or Trans Am with 350hp.... GM was protecting the Corvettes numbers.... Heads were the same, but there were other small things and tune involved that made the vette have that much power...

                Thanks a bunch for the input all. Is it a str8 up swap or would I need to add other parts to make these heads work?

                    Not to thread jack, when did the 241 castings come into use, 2000? Just trying to learn.. Either way 200 is a very good price.. Good luck!

                          in all honesty 241 heads won't be worth the upgrade at all, unless you needed a set of heads to start with just save for some 243 heads.

                            A few company's P&P 241 heads and they seems to be seeing decent gains. That would be another reason to get these. If you needed a core to send in on another set.
