  • 98'-02' Aluminum Drive Shaft

    fits 93'-02' f-bodies!

I just recently purchased a newer/slightly used Aluminum Drive Shaft for my 98' Firebird TransAm and realized that mine already has one installed.

Like stated, the driveshaft is basically new and I even had new U-joints installed since the shaft was out of the vehicle and it didnt hurt to have that done.

I have NO use for it but would like to get some of my money back on it. I have over $200 into it with the shaft and new U-joints professionally installed.

I would like to get $175 but if someone is a few bucks short I wont be a dick. Let me know; Im sure someone out there would have a use for it or just have one in case of a last minute swap.

    thanks guys and gals

    Update

Just some heads up..fyi kind of stuff everyone....2 fold...

    1) The drive shaft will fit anywhere from 1993-2002 F-Bodies...

    2) Im not looking to just "give it" away at this point; if I dont sell it fairly

soon I will still be installing it in my car, since I think my U-joints on my
car could be going soon. (Getting that "clunk" sound when I step off
the clutch at low speeds.) Like I said its not bad, but as long as I
have it and the car will already be up in the air (long tubes will be here
this wed.) Ill just change it and sell the old one used for a little
    cheaper.

Once again; its still up for sale, but Ill probably just install if it doesnt sell
or I have NO interest by the end of the week,

    Thanks everyone

          what!

          thats nuts!

Check out the SLP website; they sell one for the 02-04 GTO's that goes for 699.00!

I now know that many of our newer F-bodied cars came from the factory with them installed..didnt know that before..

and second, we all know what aluminum driveshafts really cost..when I had my mustang GT and was looking to get one, it was going to cost me in upwards of 300.00..

people offering 50-100 is "ludacris" and if thats the case Ill just put that one in because it has the new U-joints in it..At this point I think thats what Ill just do since Im taking down all that stock garbage exhaust anyhow..

a driveshaft swap only takes minutes anyways..

any good stories lately? any mods or tweeks to that engine?

my PM make sense now? All ls1 cars came equipped with these.. hence the lack of resale value. Not sure if LT1 year cars had them though?

Nope, Lt1 cars came with steel, and they vibrate like crazy!!!! Thats why Lt1 guys get the aluminum driveshaft. But ya, going rate is ~100 since they came stock on Ls1 cars they are really common.

Yup, I was hoping the used one was going to go for about 75 without the new ujoint.

Not true. 2.73 geared cars came with steel. It was only the "Performance axle" option that came with 3.23's and an aluminum driveshaft.
