  • FS: Sapphire 9600 Pro Video Card

    Hey everyone,

I forgot I had this card.

    It's a Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB AGP 4X/8X Video Card

It didn't work with my little brother's computer, but I don't believe it's a DOA - cause it's the second card. I think it was a compatibility issue with his Dimension 4550.

It has been installed once, but only for about 5 minutes, so it's brand new for all practical purposes.

Here's the Newegg page with the specs, and reviews:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102410
    Brand: SAPPHIRE
    Model: 100562L-GN
    Interface: AGP 4X/8X
    Chipset Manufacturer: ATI
    GPU Radeon: 9600PRO
    Core Clock: 400MHz
    PixelPipelines: 4
    Memory Clock: 466MHz
    Memory Size: 256MB
    Memory Interface: 128-bit
    Memory Type: GDDR2
    DirectX: DirectX 9
    OpenGL: OpenGL 2.0
    D-SUB: 1
    DVI: 1
    TV-Out: S-Video / Composite Out
    VIVO: No

It's not a monster video card, but it should run games decently at low or something...

    I'll take $20 for it...

How might I find out if this would work on my desktop? I still have the generic intel graphics card on here. When i installed my windows 7, it told me I should have a better graphics card to use the windows aero program. Think this would be a graphics card to work with aero? If it is and if I can figure out if it works im very interested.

Does your computer have an AGP slot? (If you don't know, what is your computer's model number?)

Looks like it should work. That computer has an AGP 8X slot as far as I have seen.

Now, it's not a high power video card, but it'd be a step up from what you have.

From what I read online, with the newest drivers, it supports Aero.
