If you own a 6 speed, I would consider a 9 inch over a 12 bolt if you plan on going to the track.

They are both strong. If you plan on doing hard launches at the track and daily driving your car then you could run into a noisy 12 bolt. Something about the torque arm mount on them flexing the housing. I was also told that the pinion can move over time just like the 10 bolt? My buddy has a '00 Formula M6 with a twin turbo LS1 and he runs a 12 bolt with no issues. Not sure if I'd run one in my car, but it does happen.

I may go that way then, any suggestions on a certain brand?sigpic99 LS1 Z28 6 speed (single)
