How many miles on the engine? I wonder if the lifters are the same for the 5.3L as the LTx/LSx.

I've been watching your other thread. I'm interested in everything. PM me your price and what comes with it. Thanks.

B I'm almost positive they're the same lifters, but the engine has a lifter tick so I'm not sure they would really be of any value to you.

I'll see what happens. I think I'm going to start building the engine regardless and see what happens from there, but I'll let you know if I change my mind. I'm really not sure exactly what it comes with but I'll let you know when I pick it up.

            Ok......

So does that mean this thread is defunct and you've changed your mind?

More than likely defunct but I can always change my mind for the right price. Were you interested in the complete motor?

The engine is in my garage, the build has been called off. PM me for details and history on the motor. Asking $450 complete, if I don't get any bites I'll start parting it out. These heads are a hot item.

                  Here's what else I have..
                  - LS6 intake manifold ($275) and ported LS1 throttle body ($50), or $325 together
                  - LS6 Lifters, low mileage, good condition - $50
                  - Futral Motorsports F2-114 (224/224 588/588 114 LSA) Brand new in the box with manufacturer spec sheet - $300

Too much money to have tied up. I can afford it no problem, but when I have $3,000+ tied up in an engine, transmission, and all sorts of other parts for months prior to swapping, I have a feeling my girlfriend would get more than a little tense, especially when we're supposed to be saving up to get a place together in the spring. Plus I have a few other things that need to be done that take priority, like the 97,000 mile old shocks, 2 dents, cracked door and fender, and paint.

I really wish I could go through with it, I just don't think it's worth the potential trouble. Maybe sell it some time this summer and put a monster down payment on an LS2 GTO.

Yup, brand new oil pump in it, the only problem is a collapsed lifter from when the old pump went out, just ticks a little bit. I'll throw in the LS6 lifters with the motor for $475.
