Honestly...with almost 200K miles...it's worth about core price. $500 for the engine and $250 for the trans.

Adam, is it still installed in a vehicle to hear it run?

Well, it's worth what someone will pay, but that's beside the point....suckers are born every minute.

Why would someone go through the trouble and effort of installing a motor/trans combo that has a very limited life left before it will have to be pulled AGAIN and rebuilt?

                  Very true statements

just a feeler, this is 1/2+ of what these normally go for (at least from what I have seen)

well it would be a good base for someone to build upon. even a stock rebuild into a non ls1 car. Its a good deal. If i had something to put it into i would be interested. Do you guys think i could fit this into my accord??? Rwd ls1 accord i can see it in my sig already lol

Pull the oil pan and use plastigauge to measure the bearing wear. Then do a compression test. If everything reads right then it could be a simple rebuildable engine or atleast gauge its potential. I have torn apart motors with 200k and they only showed signs of a 40k motor. It depends on how well it was maintained.

As for the trans I would be amazed if it hasn't already been rebuilt with 190k.

i havent done a compression test or torn it apart yet, if theres no interest in it I will definetely use it as-is in one of my cars...just have to pick which one

What would be included? I know a few people doing resto mods and I will pass the word to a few people.

Wiring? intake? injectors? fuel rail, exhaust manifolds? ECM?
