Ive got a 5 speed manual transmission to a cavalier/ sunfire 2.2l that I really need to get rid of. Its been sitting for almost 6 months now. Anyone need such an oddball item on a fbody site? Make me an offer. Its got 70,000 miles and is clean. Ill get some pics later tonight. Thanks

Do you think it will fit a '96 Z24 with 2.4L? I have one for sale that needs a tranny and I am having trouble getting any decent offers. -
Funny you ask(and is yours the black one on craigslist?) I had a 98 Z24 that had a bad tranny, bought this because they said it was for a 2.4. Two weeks later I find out its for a 2.2. So I got stuck with it. I have since sold the Cavalier after buying a 2.4 tranny. No, this one wont work for any Z24/GT only the RS and base cars. If you know anyone that needs it, let them know. yup...that is my black cavalier on craigslist. I want to unload it with the broken trans but if I found the right one for cheap I would consider putting it in the car and driving it one more winter.
At least I now know that a 2.2L trans will not work.Comment
