1989 Ford F250 club cab 4x4.
460 EFI motor
5 speed with creeper low and overdrive
Power windows and locks, A/C, sliding rear glass, bedliner, lockouts, etc.
Body is 90-95% solid. minor rust on one quarter over the tire, a dent and some surface rust on the front fender where someone sanded the paint off to begin pulling the dent, and a hole about the size of a half dollar in the floor next to the driver's seat. Other than that, it's real solid.
The truck needs odds and ends fixed, but does run and drive just fine. Little things mainly, most of which I have included as extra parts...
Installed:
New Alternator
New Power Steering Pump
New Battery
New starter
New solenoid
New K&N air filter
Reconditioned heads
Motor has 49,000 miles on it and fires up right away everytime
Replaced transfer case and transmission.
New wiper motor
New fuel filter
Bedliner
New front brake pads, and calipers
New water pump
New battery cables
Probably a lot more I'm forgetting
To be included in sale, but not installed:
New fuel pumps (all three)
New door locks (I don't have a key for the current locks so I bought new ones)
Repair manual
Pioneer stereo/cd player (there's no radio in dash, so I'll include this)
Neutral safety switch and centering clip. (see below)
Speedo cable (see below)
New throwout bearing (I thought the whistle was from there, it wasn't, so I have the extra part now).
Thing that could use attention, but are not needed to drive it:
There wasn't a tailgate when I got it. I installed one off another truck I have. It's undented and not bad, but has some rust along the bottom edge of it. Oh, and it's black instead of brown.
The shift boot is torn as is the floor mat around it
The driver's side door panel needs some clips (I have some)
The centering clip for the neutral safety switch needs to be replaced. It just requires the pedal to be pushed all the way to the floor right now when starting the truck. It's a tiny little plastic clip the size of a penny or so with a hole in the middle. (I have this clip and a new switch, just because I am one who overkills on stuff.)
Speedo cable is broken. (I have a new one, as well as a newly installed VSS)
The ABS light is on, it's missing a short piece of wire harness from the rear diff to the connector. The dealer has these available pretty cheap, but it has no effect on driving the truck other than the light ont he dash.
I bought all new fuel pumps for it (it takes three pumps, one for each tank, and one high pressure pump), because I questioned the sending unit on the front tank (pump works, but gauge doesn't read) and the rear pump doesn't work. The truck runs fine as it is but I was going to install the new pumps anyway. just haven't had time. So the pumps are all included - as is a full tank of gas.
There's a bit of a whistle while driving. not sure if it's a vacuum leak or what. Again, runs fine, just annoying.
I am sure I'm making the truck sound worse than it is. It's a good driver and runs nice. Has TONS of torque. You can put it in low range, and in creeper low and get out and walk faster than the truck is going. With that crawl ratio and the torque of the big block, you could pull a house off it's foundation I'm sure
I'll take $2500 or best for it as it sits. Pick it up and drive it anywhere. I'll probably list it for more locally if I get time to start taking care of the little issues. Trades welcome, as usual.
