Do not buy from this Ebay Store!

So I am sure many of you know about the DVD system I ordered for my car on ebay like 2 weeks ago. Well anyhow, this seller recieved my payment via Bank Cashiers Check on monday. They waited 2 days until it cleared, which I have no idea why you would need 2 days to cash garunteed money signed by the banking institution itself!!! They would not accept orignal PP payment because I had just moved and PP had not confirmed my new address, although I updated it previously and have used it since I moved to Plymouth.

I should have know something was up then. But I trusted them. So today is Friday. They cashed my cashiers check 3 days ago and they call me today! Great turnaround for a store huh? Well I received a call this morning indicating that the item I won on Ebay and paid for on time was now out of stock and could be out of stock for a month or more. The representative offered me a substition of greatly lesser value and features as well as lesser quality!

After researching the product thoroughly I called and let them know that the substitution was unacceptable. I mean it did not even compare to what I ordered. Take a look...

So they call me back again, this time I get to speak with some middle easterner who barely speak English. He tries to convince me that the substitute was as good or better than what I ordered. I don't know how that can be? Anyhow I tell him that I wanted my money back (+$5) for the additional cost I incurred paying for the cashiers check, priority shipping on the check, and confirmed delivery just so the money would arrive as per their request.

So the guy calls me back with an additional substitute, this time better, but by this point me and Jen just wanted out. Here is the new substitute...

This is closer to what I ordered but looks so much cheaper! So I told the guy just to send my money back. We will see what happens. I sure hope they do not screw me!

Isn't it wrong to sell and item on Ebay you do not actually possess? I hate this crap. I was so excited to have this setup and now I am not going to get it.

You know what really gets me? I paid extra money and went through extra trouble, yet they would not even compensate me for my trouble. Plus, after I checked Ebay again, their listing said they had 9 in stock!!! How can you lose 9 DVD players???

Please guys be careful when buying stuff on Ebay.

So what should I buy instead? That is if I get my money back ($279).

No, the DVD player above was part of a kit. This kit cost me $279 Shipped and included the DVD player at $83.33 + shipping and (2) visor mounted LCD monitors. They had the LCDs but not the DVD player I wanted. The one I ordered had 2X AV Inputs, an MP3 input, 1 x AV output and looked much cleaner. The one they offered me only had 1 AV input, and MP3 input and 1X AV output and looks very cheap and plastic. The one I ordered had blue backlight soft rubber buttons, and no cheap looking plastic knobs. I probably would have settled on the one for $118 but Jen did not like it either. After hearing that, I said screw it. It is just too much trouble. I could have used the cash for something better than what they offered me. Plus, after dealing with all these issues, I started thinking about what it would be like if I ran into problems down the line with the product. I just did not want to deal with that hornets nest anymore.

Also, I was a little put off that they tried to pawn off a $50 DVD player for the $100 player I paid for saying they are the same thing.

I have two visor monitors if you want them lol they are grey and came out of my girlfriends grand am, I have like no wiring for them though to connect to deck because whoever owned the car before her ghetto rigged the system to her deck, until i find another harness to make her deck work right i wont have those wires either lol. i think she wanted like 50 bucks for them but I dont even know if that is a good price?

I have not had an experiences with that specific Pyle product but Pyle Subwoofers and Pyle Amps are Pyles of shit
