I've seen quite a few remote starts online for like $20, but they're the bare bones remote start. $50 isn't bad for what it has.

what else would be needed to hook up to a new trailblazer? i remember our tahoe needed another piece to bypass the security system

Most modern-day vehicles will require a bypass. We bought the bypass for Angie's remote start on ebay for like $40.
