  • Thirdgen.org member to NOT buy from

I am having a HUGE problem with QUICKSTYLE on Thirdgen.org..

Not gonna go into all the BS, just understand he is more interested in telling you how good a deal he gave then give you your stuff..

I hate that forum. Used to be helpful, not so much anymore.

I've dealt with two members (buying stuff) though, and never had anything but success - then again, they weren't dicks.

5 Days seems a little quick to file fraud - but when I buy something, I expect it to be shipped that day or the next - and then I want to be supplied with tracking information. If it took him 5 days to get tracking info, I would be worried.

well if you consider I sent his money to him on the 18th and he never contacted till after I filed the claim, cause I have been burnt, I consider it to be generous, on ebay you have 72 hours in most cases to say something, I have only ever had one time I get screwed there, but 90% of the time I get shipping info and item within a week..

the whole deal is a bunch of BS now, most likely gonna leave that forum this is my second bad experience..

I've bought many things on thirdgen.org and the first time I did.. I was burned on an engine. Also won't get into too much detail but, I did spend $2k on a pile of scrap from a high profile third gen owner that lives in Michigan.

Funny thing being that I was overseas at the time when I purchased it.. and I had good enough friends to help with a smooth transaction. Great way to treat a veteran I must say.

the first was someone who went into a hissy fit when I told him I was going a different route and did not want his items..

Went so far he created a new SN to get my phone number and call and harass me on the phone.. the real shitty part was mods would not step in and cancel his member or at least check into my allegations, and went as far as to tell me to grow up..

long story short two very bad experiences now with them..

Yeah, their mods are really immature and misinformed.

Let's make sure we keep this about the member and not an overall thread about thirdgen.org.

I dunno the circumstances but if you paid and then said you didnt want the items id say tough luck, you should have thought about it before you handed over the cash. if you didnt pay I dont see why anyone is upset? when i was selling my parts from my old car MANY people would say they would buy the parts and they would never show money, didnt really bother me..
As far as the other thing, within 3 days should be reasonable to at least notify you, seems like that last guy is a scammer or something happened to the product and hes afraid to say it.

                      Yes, of course!

All I've bought off TGO were a set of injectors (from one member), and an ashtray and door locks/bezels (from another member). Nothing but good luck there.

Buying large items from people you don't know [well] can get iffy...

I paid for item, asked for a notice when it would be shipped, he said he needed to get a new box for a reason but would get it out soon, he never answered from then on. After 5 days I filed a claim.

Now I am the SOB cause I wanted to be safe, had nothing to do with not wanting items, hes been lying since day 1, I just found out that he just filed tracking info with paypal two days ago, but told me he did it over a week ago. he has never given tracking info, just feels like I jumped the gun wanting my stuff now.. it has nothing to do with wanting it NOW, it was a simple PM telling me it was shipped..

I have to call paypal again today and continue the case, which is BS, now I have people sending PMs telling me I am the childish one..

if you all want the thread I will give it, nothing to hide here..

there are 3 threads now about it..

I was referring to the first time you said you got screwed, clearly something is up with the seller the second issue though.

I have never had a problem with that site, always found the people mature, and informative.
Though I admit have not purchased many things from the members there.

But the heads up is good to know.
