...very good experience I happened to have the pleasure of being treated to tonight.

Tonight, I finally took my ride, Ms. Percy out to the place that is going to do my dyno tune. I met the owner Mr. Dick Drongowski. Saying I was/AM impressed is a tremendous understatement!!! I'm not kidding here. I'm the kinna person who calls it like I see it. If it smells like shit, its shit! Plain and simple! In Dick's case, he's strictly a 5 star quality service shop, barring none!

I arrived at Dick's shop at about 5 ish tonight. Dick welcomed me into his home, asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee to drink (btw - Dick makes an excellent cup of coffee too!) After, oh... about a half hour of chit-chat, Dick invited me out to his Institute of Technology. What a shop. I'd gladly give my left henry to have shop like Dick's for my own!

Any who. Dick took approximately an hour or better to fully explained to me about how his Mustang Dyno works. The multitude of different aspects and on the fly performance checks its capable of doing.

Yes, that's right, I'm down to the torque and horsepower Guru!

Oh, and for the best part. Y'all are gonna like this one. Weather permitting, I'll be taking Ms. Percy out to Dick's Institute of Technology on either the 12th, or 13th of this month. Dick asked me if it would be ok to keep Ms. Percy for approximately a week so he can be absolutely sure he as gotten every last ounce of torque and horsepower that Ms. Percy is capable of delivering. I thought to myself. WOW! This guy is all about quality, and not quantity. BRAVO!

When I explained what kind of exhaust system Ms. Percy has, Dick asked me if he could weld in some extra bungs in several areas of my exhaust system so he could get different readings (Hooker/Catco Hi-flow/Borla) After meeting Dick, I was totally at ease. I said heck yeah, do as you see fit. Now, I'm a VERY VERY FUSSY kind of person. I believe, if a person is about to do something, they should take the time to do it right to the VERY best of their abilities. No cutting corners. No half-assed jobs just to get by with. Mr. Drongowski is this type of individual. In fact, I feel blessed to have been lucky enough to have met Dick. Serious tip!

Now I know most of the members here probably live to far away to make the trip to the Institute of Technology. However, if you ever decide to take a day trip just to see his layout, I can safely say, and whole heartedly recommend taking your own look-see.

For those who might wish to have Mr. Drongowski's contact information, the following information will put you in touch with Mr. Drogowski.

Bottom line? It's like this. After nearly 20 years of working for the State of Michigan, Department of Corrections, I have learned what to look for, and how to gauge my feelings toward an individual. Straight up? I can smell an ******* from about 5 miles away. Dick is nothing short of humble, good honest hard working peoples. In all honesty, you couldn't asked to meet a nicer person. Well, you could, but you'd go a long long ways before you found anyone nicer, more personable the Dick.

Oh, and one more thing. After the in-depth explanation about the dyno, Dick and I went back into his home for some more coffee. I had to help myself. If that doesn't tell you something about the character of Mr. Drongowski, nothing will

At about 7:30 tonight, Dick finally let me go home. The man is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, and he loves to talk

    Laters y'all...

Mr. Drongowski does it all. V6's, LT1's, LS1's. Diesels. Dick was telling about one diesel pick-up in particular that was putting out over 1100 ft. pds of torque. Can ya dig it? I can!

For keeping and tuning my ride, Ms. Percy over a week time frame, Dick quoted me a price of $500.00. You're milage may vary according to what you want done. And he does it all!

I just wanted to make sure he didn't only work on cars with computer-controlled engines, because the monte is fully mechanical. As for the Camaro, I'm gonna need a good tune after the V8 swap. Thanks for the info!

I say we just advertise for him! Most of the people on here would love to have him tune their cars, maybe we could work out a discount for advertisement on the site?
