WANTED: 2004-2005 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged

    WANTED: 2004-2005 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged

    I don't know if this is where I should put this, but it seemed the best place to me. I'm currently looking for a decent car to drive daily that I can brag about. . . lol I've set my sights on the 2004-2005 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Supercharged. Here are a few of the things I want.

    -Competition Yellow Paint
    -Black Leather Interior
    -Power Sunroof
    -CD Player or Changer
    -MUST BE S/Ced!

    That's about all I can think of. I have a pretty good picture of the car I want, and I'm willing to neglect a few aspects if I can get a good deal, but I must have a supercharger. My price range is about $10k, I'm getting a loan to buy a car, I might as well get the car I want, right? Over $10k is fine, but I want to keep it right around there. Also, I would rather buy from a dealer than a private party. Angie, I know this is a challenge for you. . . lol

      So let me get this straight, Your wanting to buy a $15,000-$20,000 car for $10,000. Good Luck finding that.

        yeah your not going to find an 04-05 for any less then 15k thats a decent car

          I could not find a Super Charged monte. Those cars are still new. I talked to my friend that is a mod. on a Monte Carlo bord. and finding a SC monte is going to be really hard for your price range, Plus I guess thay are kind of rare too. I dont see anything wrong with a SS you can go to the junk yard and try and find a SC monte and take the SC out of it and put it into your car. Lookin for a Super Charged Yellow monte is really hard. But I will keep my eyes open for ya.

                Good Luck. Why not buy OT's Camaro? He only was asking like $13k.

                or what about BlackbirdWS6's Cobalt SS? He only wanted $16K.

                      This was exactly my wife's car that we got rid of 6 months ago. You can probably find one for $12K with some looking.

                      Why no private parties? I'd prefer that to a dealer.

                      And you really should live in one of these things for a couple of days before you decide.

                      Interior quality is abysmal, one of the worst cars I've seen. Torque steer is irritating, and (maybe this is just me), it was slower than I expected. My '04 Grand Prix GTP with the Series III motor and better gearing would smoke it every day and they're essentially the same car.

                          EXACTLY. I've tried going to banks and getting financing for cars before, and there is no way anyone would give me a loan unless I had a parent as a primary and myself as a cosigner. I'm trying to go through a dealer since I have no credit. Beleive me, if I could get financing for OT's car, I would SO do it. I love that car, and I want it more than any Monte Carlo any day of the week, but there is no way I can get a bank to finance that. Too bad Jasen won't take like $500 cash every month until it's paid off. Then I would jump on it.

                            Nick, have you gone to a dealer to make sure you can get financing for a 10k car, though? The financing is still through their bank, and (take no offense, I'm in the same boat) if the bank won't give you a loan, I find it hard to believe the dealership will.

                              If the dealerships are self funded with their financing, they can give a loan to anybody. They will stick it to you on the interest though.

                              I know one guy (been through two bankrupcies) who got a car loan, but he was paying something like 15% on it.
