The eBay "reserve not met" price is $22,500, and based on their "approved" financing numbers, it's probably going to take $26-27K to buy that car.

Or the same price as the '01 Z06 that they also have on the lot.

you'd have to be crazy to spend 25k+ on an f-body! I'd MUCH rather have a C5Z or even a base C6.

It's a lot of money but it is a 1 of 1 car. LT4 97 SS Camaros are 25k + and they made 100 of those.

Well, certain 4th gens can command that money.

It just is a very limited market, and the people looking for that market and price point are (usually) collectors.

And they're going to have a budget, and if that budget is $27K for a collector car, there are a whole lot of collector cars in that price range...

Probably a tough sell in today's market. Twenty years from now, you'll be kicking yourself for walking away from it...

you are correct B4C's were all hardtops.

Doug never actually ordered his car, because he never intended to buy a Hot Rod edition. The car was built and in inventory at Berger, and If I remember the story correctly it was after spend the weekend with Denny Barker and Matt Murphy in Chicago at Chevy Vettefest where I believe they had the car on display that they convinced Doug to buy it.
