Selling my 1968 GMC c15 SWB. It has a solid lifter 327ci with small cam and longtube headers in to flowmasters. 3 speed automatic. I was told the trans is a Turbo 400 but I belive its a TH350. 12 bolt rear end. 4 wheel drum brakes. Body is rusty. but the frame is solid. Previous owner filled rust holes with bondo and caulk then spray bombed it orange. I stripped off what I could and left the doors and grille orange for that "hot rod" look.
The truck did not run when I got it, nor did it have brakes and the electrical system was unfit for the road. Below is a partial list of repairs and new parts in the past 8 months.
The floor needs to be replaced. I was quoted $1000 to have it done by a local shop. If you're interested I can put you in touch with them.
Recent Repairs:
Last August I rebuilt the brakes with all new hardware. I also rewired the engine compartment for a 10SI style alternator and cleaned up some of the under dash rats nest.
In January I did a complete tune up with Accel cap and rotor, Delco plugs, MSD wires with heat looms, and I installed a brand new Quickfuel 750cfm dual feed Carb. and replaced the fuel filter and lashed the valves.
New:
Radiator
Coolant hoses
(4) brake wheel cylinders
(4) Brake flex hoses
(4) Brake spring kits
(4) Brake Shoes
(4) Brake Drums
Rear brake hard lines
750cfm Quickfuel Carb
Distributor Cap
Distributor Rotor
Spark Plugs
Plug Wires
Alternator
Alt. Belt
Newer Battery
Windshield
Front Bumper
Door Handles
Outside mirrors
Lots more
$2750 cash for a forum member. Listed elsewhere for $3000
