It's a 2001 Monterrey Maroon Metallic T-top 3800 M5. Here's the deal. It currently has a running 3800 in it, however is has a spun rod bearing so the engine needs to be replaced. Fortunately I am already all over that. I decided to rebuild the engine with power. So that being said, if you buy this you just have to put the engine together and swap the engine out. This is the ideal project for someone who wants to get their hands dirty. Here is a rough list of what I have to go into the engine. I am certain there is more. What I can tell you is that with the exception of fluids I have everything you need to complete the engine. The interior is fairly clean, I have a replacement lid for the console, I even have the sun shades. Will need new tires, but that's about all! This list includes the prices I paid for everything so you can see the value. The car was a staright up trade for my 01 grand am GT, had I known it was a spun rod and not a headgasket, i would not have traded, but thats another story. So basically I paid about $1500 for the car itself.
-ZZP Comp Cams GT1 camshaft - $250
-new manley chromely pushrods - $100
-CTS-VR ceramic lifters - $50
-LS9 sprints, locks, and retianers - $75
-new comp rocker arm bolts - $20
-new felpro head bolts - $20
-zzp HV3 - $100
-BMR strut tower brace - $50
-BMR rear LCA's - $75
-projector headlights - $75
-Koni STR.T front struts - $125
-Eibach lowering springs - $50
-new felpro valve seals - $15
-complete set of new gaskets for the entire engine - $150
-cometic .051 MLS head gaskets - $150
-new iridium spark plugs - $35
-taylor spark plug wires - $45
-maroon valve covers - $100
-ported and polished 3800 heads - $100 (tools)
-rollmaster timing set (in the bad engine because I thought that was the problem, ran less than 1 mile) - $75
-used 3800 series 2 block, I have paint for it...doesn't need to be machined at all, but you can for peace of mind - $100
-Pacesetter headers that are partially stripped, as I was going to repaint them, they have never been ran - $125
-stage 8 locking header bolts - $45
Total spent - $2000 not including the car.
WILL SELL ALL FOR $2500
You should have a car with 350 chp when this is all set.
