Hey guys, I recently bought a new truck and am selling my old one. It's been a great truck, but I just wanted a 5.3 and a cewcab truck. This truck has never let me down, and I actually think I'm going to end up regretting selling this truck, but nevertheless, here she is. MiFbody price is $3000 OBO, I'll be posting it on Craigslist here in a few days at $3500 firm (we all know nobody at CL knows what that means anyways
)
Please, if you're interested, give me a call/txt/PM and I'll try and get back to you. Darren can vouch, he's seen the truck. It's not in prefect shape, but it's certainly a respectable specimen of this body style truck. I used it to tow my boat, camper, fishing boat, DD. And occasionally a Dodge
(Okay, just that one time). I've had it since 181K, it's got 196K on it now. It's honestly never let me down.

I'd like to see it go to someone on MiFbody before anyone on CL. I'd like to know someone is enjoying the truck and not tearing it up/beating on it. I dunno, just think I'd rather have an idea of where it is and what it's doing, versus just sending if off to craigslist land to be demolished ...
Thanks for looking.

1996 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with the 305 Vortec engine, has decent cooper tires, bed liner, fiberglass bed topper, power windows/locks/mirrors, Sony radio with USB/AUX, all new speakers. It has 196K miles, but runs great. It's never let me down. Averages 12MPG towing or not. Has a Reese class 3 hitch with 2" ball on it, comes with 7/4 pin RV/boat wiring, provisions for a trailer brake controller. Working spare tires hoist and good spare tire.
List of new stuff:
Water pump
Idler Pulley
GM Alternator
Serpentine belt
Fuel pressure regulator
Plugs and Wires
Brake shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders, machined drums
Rotors, calipers and pads
Monroe shocks front and back
Moog U-joint in the rear driveshaft
Resealed rear axle (tubes, pinion and cap)
Tailgate and hinges (painted to match)
Taillight bulb boards/sockets
Inside and outside door handles
All fluids changed when I bought it at 181K
Transmission fluid cooler lines (From inline tube)
Steering column shrouds and shift lever boot
Rebuilt transmission maybe 8K ago at GM dealer
oil filter adapter gasket changed about 8K ago (It isn't equipped with an oil cooler, so no leaky lines to worry about
Bank 1 and 2 oxygen sensors replaced with new flowmaster catalytic converter Y pipe assembly (Only has one cat)
Passenger CV axle and AC Delco lower ball joint
Moog Pitman and Idler arms
GM blower motor
Ignition switch
Recent alignment/tires balanced and rotated (drives smooth and straight)
The upper ball joints and front hub bearings were replaced at some point prior to me owning the truck, as well as possibly the fan clutch.
The BAD:
Rusty rockers and passenger cab corner is just about gone
Bottom of doors are rusty
driver's window track is rotten, and window gets stuck when lowered 100% down, but works fine it is only lowered down to 75% (I'm including a new window to correct this problem)
Driver's door lock cylinder was replaced but the lock rod fell off because the small metal clip let go. I have a new clip I'm including to fix this.
Passenger door lock cylinder doesn't match driver's door lock (I have the matching cylinder to the driver's door that I'm including)
Fiberglass topper has a pinhole leak near the front glass that I've never pinpointed. It's never been a real issue unless there's huge amounts of rain, then you might find some water in the ridges of the bedliner.
I'm also including in the deal a new in box Codealarm keyless entry and remote start kit I ordered for it but never installed. I'm not 100% sure if this truck needs the passlock bypass or not. This truck is a workhorse, never let me down. The only reason I'm selling it is because I upgraded to a newer truck with a 5.3L. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck anywhere.
