1985 Pontiac Trans Am 383 Stroker For Sale

Hello everyone, I am selling my Trans Am to move onto my next hobby. I have owned this car since 1995 and it has always been garage kept, never driven in rail or the winter...you know the drill. Like most of us, this has been my toy car. In fact every year when I uncover it and get it out of the garage my 6 yr old son calls it my new car!!

The car runs and drives great, and with the 2 chamber flowmaster exhaust it sounds great as well. I don't get a chance to drive it much these days with the little ones and that is another reason I am selling it. The wife and kids are just not into the car like I am/was and it's finally time to go.

I'm not gonna tell you the car is perfect, it has not been restored as I would call it but I have taken great care of it over the years. I have replaced many parts to make it look and drive very nice. It is very fun to drive, it has a lot of power and traction, I've never had it to the track but I would guess it would surprise a folk or two on how fast it gets up and goes. If you in the market for a nice third gen f body it would definitely be worth your time to take a look at.

I am asking $8900 for it.

How many miles are on it?

Well that would have been good into to add.

The odometer states 122725, but I would be honest and add the speedometer cable broke last year and I have not yet fixed it so you can add another 200 miles to that at most.

The engine only has a few thousand miles on it at most. Also I did not state the transmission was professionally rebuilt the same time the engine was replaced. Most of the work was done on the car in about 2000-2003. I also forgot that I added a Quick Fuel 750 double pumper with mechanical secondaries on it last year as well.

It looks like I forgot some key points here. Thanks for not beating me up on it!

At the Gratiot Cruise this past weekend a few other participants in the car show offered their take on what I could get for my car. They heard it and thought it sounded great and it looked pretty good too... one thought $8500 and the other $9000.

Well after doing some additional research online and trying to gauge what the market is right now for these automobiles I think my price is good if the car was in a little better condition. I'll explain, just being brutally honest here...first of all as stated above the speedo cable is broke and needs to be replaced. Also, the rear wing could be replaced as well. I would say the paint is in very good condition but the silver on the bottom does have some spider cracks, especially in the front and could use a once over. There's probably a few other things I'm missing here, I feel like I'm unnecessarily bashing my car and now know one will take a lookat6 it but like I stated, it's not perfect, very few of these cars are.

I want to adjust my price to $7900, I think this is a great deal for this car with everything that is has going for it. I'm sure just by going for a ride in it, it will most certainly sell itself.
