Listing this for my brother, I was thinking that one of you guys who knows about Ford fuel & electrical systems could get a good deal on this truck and with a little elbow grease have yourself a winter truck that you would have to really work at to get it stuck.
It a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4-door. It's white, has the V-8, auto, AWD natch, plus leather seats, factory AM-AM with CD. Only two small areas of minor surface rust, very solid body and frame, good rubber.
The bad news is that it's 198k miles, but that's part of why it's cheap. They were highway miles, as this was used by an executive at a concrete highway paving company. Interior is basically very good, but the driver's seat has the obligatory splits on it. Also, has a nagging issue under heavy acceleration. The truck will bog down like it's starving for fuel, but the fuel pressure is good and the pump is new. The PCM is likewise new. Did Ford V8s maybe have OptiSpark or something?
Anyway, you will want to sort this out for safety and satisfaction. Otherwise, it's a helluva deal at the asking price of $1,750.
I have no pics of the truck, but it's a half-hour away in Lake Orion, so PM me and let me know if you want to see it, or if you're serious enough about it that I should go get pics -- or maybe talk my nephew into taking pics.
