car just suffered an engine fire. Car was parked at home and engine caught on fire, it was extinguished quick before it took the car. We believe it was an electrical fire starting at the back of the engine.

good to use for parts car or someone to part out and make some money on!

That's not good! Good thing nobody was in the car. I'd venture to say the fuel rail shrader valve leaked gas and caught fire from either a frayed plug wire or something hot and spread via the engine cover (notice the cover is melted over the valve). My shrader valve leaked and needed to be tightened. This is what causes all the engine fires...GM put out a recall for the front valve cover gasket leaking onto the exhaust manifold, but this really wasn't the problem.

yikes. ya, we had an '01 GP GT... sold it with 140k on it to a co-worker and after a couple years more, it caught fire and BURNED DOWN. They thought it was related to a power strg or manifold oil leak.... didn't investigate it at all, just hauled off to the junkyard.

There is also a recall foe the spark plug wire channel collecting oil and catching fire but that's only on the front of the engine. And looks like yours is already removed.
