We have decided to sell our 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Convertible. We've owned it a little over 3 years and put about 3,500 miles on it. This car has never been driven in the winter, and rarely in the rain. It is always kept in a garage, and covered, when it's not been driven, or when it's being stored. The previous owner was a car collector who also took excellent care of it. There have been no modifications done to the car except the previous owner put an aftermarket stereo in it, and put aftermarket wheels on it. This car has never been beat on, raced, redlined, burned out, or anything like that. My wife and I use this car just as a nice Sunday cruiser. There are not many of these cars left with low miles, no rust, and so meticulously taken care like this one.
Details of the Z28. . .
- We've owned it for a little over 3 years and put approximately 3,500 miles on it.
- 63,950 miles when ad was posted
- Quasar Blue with Black convertible top, rare and beautiful combination
- Black leather interior
- LT1 350 V8 Engine with approximately 300 horsepower from the factory
- 4L60E Automatic Transmission
- 16" ASA JS5 wheels with 245/50/16 Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires
- Aftermarket Alpine CDA-7893 head unit, speakers in the doors, as well as amplifiers in the trunk. Sorry I
don't know more about the stereo system, it's not my forte.
- Convertible boot/tonneau cover comes with it. It's something we purchased after buying the car as it makes
the car look much sharper when the top is down by covering up all the inner workings of the convertible.
- Comes with car cover
Maintenance I've done since owning it, last 3,500 miles. . .
- Oil changed at the beginning and end of every season with Mobil 1 5W-30 full synthetic oil and an
oversized Purolator oil filter.
- Rear differential oil changed at the beginning of every season with Valvoline High Performance
80W-90 conventional gear oil with the GM LSD gear additive.
- Transmission fluid and coolant flushed & changed
- New carbon ceramic brakes pads and drilled/slotted rotors installed with a brake fluid flush
- Front end alignment completed
- New PCV valve
- New fuel pump & fuel filter
- New Intake and valve cover gaskets
- New driver side window motor
This car has always been owned by very maintenance orientated owners with all fluids being changed well before they were due. The only issues with the car is the leather on the outside driver seat side bolster is worn, very common with all F-Body cars as it was a poor design. There is one small dime sized dent in the passenger quarter panel, a handful of stone chips on the nose, two small scuffs on the rear bumper (seen in pictures).
Please PM me if you're interested. Thanks.
