I'm not sure MiFBody is the right marketing vehicle for this car, considering that the number of our guys who could afford this can be counted on one hand, but hey -- you never know if it's the one car that those folks been looking for!
Personally, I wouldn't give a hair over $40,000 for it -- it doesn't even have A/C or the adjustable telescoping wheel!

GLWS -- that's a real beauty there, and whoever ends up with her is a very lucky guy!

I agree most members can't afford it but maybe they have a dad or grandpa who is suffering from a mid life crisis.Originally posted by ktl711 View PostI'm not sure MiFBody is the right marketing vehicle for this car, considering that the number of our guys who could afford this can be counted on one hand, but hey -- you never know if it's the one car that those folks been looking for!

Over $70,000 has been invested into the car. As you know Kevin, 1968 did not have the best fit and finish- The fit and finish on this example exceed today's standards.

As a former owner of a '68 Vette vert, this one looks exceptional.Originally posted by bri2203 View PostI agree most members can't afford it but maybe they have a dad or grandpa who is suffering from a mid life crisis.

FWIW, I traded that car (non original SB, 4-speed, no other options, some non-working gauges, some other originality issues, with a removable hard top) for a eBay car that was a "Did Not Meet Reserve" car at $22K.
I would think that this could be honestly represented as a 390 hp car as so many of them have been re-created to 435 hp cars with tri-power. Interesting that it has a 4-speed as the only 427 that could be had with an auto was the 390 hp version. So, assuming it's all original, somebody went goofy on ordering this car, and had to have a 4-speed and a 427 (but didn't want to spend another $100 to get the big HP motor...go figure...).
Very attractive color combo (at least for me).
Not going to see another one like this.

It annoys me more then anything.
