It's true; this is one of the most solid, rust free First Gen Camaro's we have ever seen! Showing no signs of rust, collision repairs or panel replacements anywhere!!!
Previous owner states it received one repaint back in 1989 in original Lacquer with Z/28 stripes added under the clear. In storage since 1998 and recently freshened up by professional restoration shop, first time offered For Sale.
This car was recently found in tremendous condition, the result of appropriate storage inside a purpose built storage cocoon inside a solid barn in Cincinnati Ohio.
The paint was still in good condition and only required wet sanding & polishing to bring back its high-gloss lacquer finish. A few small nicks & chips received brush touch-up's and re-buffing, overall the body & paint are in good to excellent condition.
The interior was in great original condition and only required; fresh carpeting, new door panels, and dash pad. . . all other interior is original and received deep cleaning and re-dying, however the original headliner was still in perfect condition and was not re-dyed, unbelievable!
The numbers correct & date correct 327ci/210hp V8 engine and PowerGlide Automatic transmission were both professionally rebuilt and reinstalled. The brake system required complete replacement and is all new! Other rebuilt or new items include: Carburetor, alternator, voltage regulator, horn relay, starter, power steering hoses, ignition wires, plugs, rotor, condensers, points, battery & all cables, all hoses, all belts, radiator cap, all filters, all fluids, windshield washer system, performance exhaust system and new correct fuel tank.
The chassis was completely steam cleaned, prepped and repainted along with new Shocks, sway bar links, leaf spring shackle bushing set and 4 wheel balancing & alignment.
This rare Camaro is now freshened-up and ready to once again be driven and enjoyed. It's one of those automotive time-capsules that only surfaces available for sale once in a great while.
