  • Might be time to offload some vehicles

I have 5 vehicles of my own, entirely too many to upkeep (and let alone finish) in addition to vehicles I service for family and friends. I don't have to get rid of them but I'm coming up to a crunch point. I'm losing two storage spots due to situations that are beyond my control, not a monetary issue whatsoever. Thinking about offloading a few to help clear up some space and resources. I do have my eye on a vehicle that I've been wanting for a long time...which is another motivating factor

    2000 GMC Jimmy SLS 2dr

    2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4

    1989 Camaro IROC-Z

    1955 Bel Air

Post up if you're interested in any. The Bel Air and IROC will be very hard to part with, will also need to keep one as a DD/winter vehicle

I thought you were flipping the Neon?

I assume you have the Neon, Blazer, and 98 Z to pick form for a DD. To my knowledge the 98z is still a roller or at least not running. So you DD would have to be either the Neon or the Blazer. I would lean towards keeping the blazer for cheaper insuranhece, decent in winter, and the Neon would sell quick. But if you wanted a fun DD keep the Neon and off the blazer.
I'm not sure how much time or space you have but that would help me decide if I were to sell the 98Z.

If you do put a price on the 55 let me know.

Z28 has a 6.0 and a built 4l60e - just needs to be put back together. Once the Neon is done I'll bring it into the garage and I'll bolt in the new trans/finish the wiring. I was thinking $3500.

The Jimmy has the typical rust that most 2dr Blazer/Jimmy have in front of the rear wheels. Just over 170,000 miles on it, pretty new Yokohama Geolander ATS. I just put in a gov-loc because I was in a pinch (thrust washer let loose on old diff) but I didn't have time to do new bearings. Feels like a u-joint is bad so I'll have to pull the drive shaft soon and take a look. Needs some love, drove this thing for 3 years non stop up until mid January when battery took a crap and the u-joint felt like it was going. $1500

IROC 'vert - rebuilt engine (too much to list) rebuilt WC T5, LS1/LT1 brakes, tubular everything, Eclipse sound system, 02 ebony seats, etc etc $7000 ?? Really don't want to get rid of this

The Neon has a potential buyer. He has come out a couple of times to look at it. The car isn't 100% done, waiting on a coulple interior parts and need to get the broken sway bar bolt out. $6000 if that buyer backs out.

The 55 isn't finished. Will need paint, interior, and glass. 4 wheel disc, 2" drop spindles/blocks in rear, 350 .040 over, TPI w/ Accel DFI gen 6, power steering, Muncie M20, new chrome and all stainless is there. Currently has 17x8 Boyd Coddingtons (the wheels that are on the IROC in my sig) This will be a very tough one to let go (not sure if I even could) but I might part at $12,000

The car I have my eye on is a '72 Datsun 240z. Both Camaros and the Jimmy or SRT would have to go in order to get this one. If I sell the Jimmy and Z28, I'll put the Bel Air into my cousin's shop for paint and try to forget about the 240z...there are a few more scenarios that I've been playing around with

We have 7 vehicles here currently at the house. I have 2 more vehicles coming back this weekend, one more in June. Our garage fits 3 currently. It could hold 4 if we remove the bat cave (an enclosed stall that housed the vette before it was sold) but we would lose the storage above it. The driveway will hold 8 at max capacity, 5 comfortably.

Did you just say 3500 for the 98 with a 6.0 in it?

Actually, it needs the old 4l60e removed and the new one put in. But yes, it doesn't run right now because I don't have the battery cables installed. I think Monday I will be dropping the engine/trans to do the swap and bolt everything back up. Just need to get some trans fluid and a couple o2 sensors.

The engine is a flex honed/re-ringed 6.0 with a TR224 cam and BBK stainless headers. The 4l60e I built has TCI clutches, Transgo valve plate, beast shell, new reverse drum, alto wide band, hardened pump rings, probably some other little things I'm forgetting at the moment.

Interior is shot on the car. Very dirty and the seats are torn to hell. The exterior needs help as well, a few of the issues I noticed when I bought it (flaking paint on front and rear bumpers, rock chips) but two others popped up - a tiny spot of rust in front of the rear tire and the passenger side rocker is dented in the back.

                    I'll snap some.

I'll be blunt - I've hit a few deer with the Jimmy. No metal damage, just shattered plastic every time. Never bothered geting the plastics painted as they came in flat black, the truck is black, so...$168 after each deer got me a new bumper cover, grille, and headlights. This is a point A to point B vehicle....I was going to put the 5.3 in until the rust bubbles popped up in the rear quarters.

Curtis, I set an alarm on my phone telling me to take pictures of the Jimmy after work tomorrow. It slipped my mind - lots of other things on my plate right now.

Vito, the Neon will probably have to become my DD for the next month or maybe more. I sent you a PM with the details.
