Wait a minute...I seem to remember that your dad muscled this deal with a local dealer, rather than ordering it...wasn't it "on the lot" when he picked it up?

Nope he ordered it - it is a R6P car. It was held up at the dealer because he muscled it down from Oshawa. The paperwork was never sent down with it because it was one of the cars randomly selected to go through QC. So once we found that out, a flatbed picked it up from the dealer and took it to Pontiac (I think) to run the tests on it. After that was done they could complete the paperwork and we took delivery of it. The car did sit at the dealer for at least a week before we found out what the issue was and were able to take delivery.



Upgrade? Yeah, in a couple years. He's tired of the winter situation. He really wants one with a Z/28 on it, but I think he's going to need to wait until the 6th gen. For now we've both been enjoying the older cars and I still have mine if I feel like going fast-er.

Yes, to all the above...

I remember driving past the Pontiac lot with all those hundreds of Camaros sitting there.

I'm still curious how the Z28 is going to fit into the equation going forward...they had their chance and wussed out on it...

Who knows? I'm just excited to see some renderings! When is it slated for production? 2014?

6th gen is 2015 calendar year, 2016 model year. That's the rumor at least. I really don't see the Z28 coming before the 6th gen.

Careful, fellow GM'er... employees whether in the program or not could be misinterpreted by higher ups. I've seen crazy stuff happen.

I thought the plan was to buy a ZL1 if they made convertible. I recall that plan a few years back.
I hope he finds a buyer quick. I have had good luck listing cars on autotrader.
