Up top. Going to give all the stock parts with the car if the buyer wants. Would really like to sell this now so I can look for a hugger orange t-top car.

Also willing to trade for a C5 with a 6sp, although the chances of that are kind of slim seeing as I don't have much cash to add on top right now. Could include Kooks headers, stainless true duals, and an ls6 intake.

Price lowered to $10,000, not going to lower it again, I'll just sell it in the spring...

Yea at first he offered his car as it sits, which is a built 454, built trans, and upgraded rear, ccw wheels, etc. Wanted my car and 15k cash. He's going to demod it and only leave the exhaust on it with the factory z06 wheels (which I like better anyway) for my car and 6k cash.

Here's what it looks like, just a picture pulled off corvette forums.

Nice Electron Blue. That was a high rated choice when I got my Z... wife's 1st choice was red... and who am I to argue that point?

Anyway, so what is he 'demodding' about it? for the large cash price drop, sounds like the 454 and all the built stuff is coming out.

A nice Z06 I would guess should go for low 20's anyway (my guess). If your car is worth 10 on the trade and he's only wanting 6 assuming its demodded to stock... something doesn't quite sound right. Does it have a bunch of miles?

I thought it was electron blue too, but it's not, it's Daytona Blue. The car was originally black.

Yes, everything built is coming out, he's going to sell that and locate a stock ls6 drivetrain, I'm helping with that. He's leaving the full exhaust on it.

He says the body has 103k miles, so I guess kind of high miles? Doesn't matter much if the driveline is being replaced. At that point, the car is meant to be driven and not hiding in a garage.

His car isn't perfect, it needs a few little things. Wiper cowl is cracked, passenger window howls when going up/down, ac needs charged. Just things that are pet peeves.

He's been looking for a car just like mine because of his current financial situation, and he is extremely interested in my car. I'm sure that contributes to the good price.

Sorry, meant to add that he wants my car, $6k, and the kooks headers and ls6 intake I was going to put on my car.

Hmmm... sounds like it could turn into a fix-it weekly type of a car. And, that 6k could buy you some nice mods for your SS. Also, what happened to looking for a HOSS?

I tend to agree, but everyone has their opinions. I wouldn't want to deal with the issues coming from modding, de-modding, and then swapping the drivetrain.

Personally, I'd take half of what you're giving him and put it into the 'vert. $3k in mods can go a long way. I know the vert wasn't all you thought it'd be, but easy enough to put the top up when it's too hot or cold. I still love driving mine with the top up.
