  • FS: 2004 Chevy Blazer ZR2 (5spd Manual)

    Hey Everyone,

I'm selling my blazer, its been a decent little truck.. but I don't really drive it.. figured I would get rid of it if anyone is interested.

    http://monroemi.craigslist.org/cto/3140746278.html

I would be willing to work on the price a little for my fellow mifbody friends.

LOL you can paint it blue! Plus is there is less of a chance that the transmission will need to be rebuilt!

Last year for the blazer as well, I didn't know you could get a manual in a blazer.

I had one just like that but 2wd and a 2003. The 5spd in a 4wd truck is a rare commodity indeed. Those are fun little trucks with a stick, especially in the winter. What kind of gas mileage you get with that thing?

ehh it gets about 20mpg on the interstate.. around town... not good haha! probably like 15.. I never really figured it out though.. to tell you the truth I only put like 1500 miles on the thing since I bought it last year.

I bet you get better then that I still pull 18MPG in my Blazer and the same in my wifes Jimmy, and that is mix driving with City/Highway. On our trips up north if I use the cruise control and not towing the full trailer I get almost 20MPG!

Very cool that its a 5 speed, this would be a great to cruise around the sand dunes with!

My mom has an '04 ZR2 automatic, the best we've ever seen in it is 16.7mpg ALL highway driving.

16.7 is the average for my 2dr Jimmy (4.3/auto/3.42) best tank was of 23mpg. ZR2's turn a lot more rubber than the standard 4wd Blazer/Jimmy

Then yours needs a tune up, I average 18 MPG all day long in my Blazer every single tank of gas.

Remember that ZR2's are different animals with the larger 8.5 ten bolt and larger tires, 2-3" taller. Also the gearing ranged from 3.08 to 4.11 so that might have something to do with it.

Back to the main agenda before this becomes a hypermiler pissing match I'd love a ZR2 but it's the wrong color. GLWS!

I love the color! It's exactly what I want in a winter DD, but I just can't swing it right now. lol

                          Best of luck selling!

05 was actually the last year for the s10 Blazer.
But they are great trucks. I got a 94 4dr. My brother has a 99 jimmy and my dad has a 2003 2dr blazer. All good trucks. But I get 16 mpg's no matter what. City or highway.
