  • Toyota Pick Up 4x4

1989 Toyota Pickup Deluxe Short Bed

    3.0L V6
    5 Speed Manual
    4x4
    106K
    Dark Red Exterior
    Gray Interior
    Sliding rear window - Tinted

The exterior does have rust on it, in the bed and along the bottom of the doors but they still seal. It does come with the towing package from toyota and a grill gaurd. There are brand new tires on it that have never touched the road and the rear brake lines have been replaced due to the old ones rusting. The interior is in great shape with nothing wrong, except there is no radio. When i bought it from the previous owner he had the gas tank pulled out because the fuel pump needed to be replaced, he bought a new one and reinstalled it but never put the tank back in. When i got it i put the tank back in it and hooked everything back up, but it wouldn't start, it will crank over but won't start. The previous onwer said it ran good before he pulled the tank with the exception of the fuel pump going in and out. So i'm asuming it is a electrical problem but im not sure. I don't really have time to work on it because I am in Chicago for a little while and the truck is in Battle Creek, MI.

I Kelly Blue Booked the value of the truck and in the condition that it is in it says it's worth $2,550 if it were running. I would like to to get $2250 obo out of it as im sure it will take less then $300 to get it up and running again. i don't have any pics of it exactly but i can post up a picture of what it looks like if anyone wants.

So you're knocking off $300 from a truck that doesn't run, nor has not ran since you owned it? I wonder what the Kelly Blue Book is for a non running truck. Good luck on the sale.

Not to be a dick but dreamer is a good name for you if you think your getting more than a $1000 dollars for a non-running truck, especially one with rust.
the way the economy is right now for $2250 I could buy a full size lifted late 90's truck in good shape.

Thanks for the luck I apreciate it very much, you say that the truck doesn't run like the engine is blown or the tranny needs a complete rebuild, the truck ran just fine before the tank was taken out, either im not getting power back there or the new pump is actually bad. The price does say "obo" so if you think it is to high then shoot me a lower price.

Yes you could buy a late 90's lifted full size truck in good shape the way economy is right now but you also would be paying a lot of money for gas too. So for anyone of you too above or anyone else interested the price does say OBO so if you think the price is too high then shoot me a PM.
And thanks again for everyones input and helping the sale of this truck move along.

Not trolling the ads. I was just trying to clarify that he wants $2250 for a late 80's truck that he's never heard run and has some rust issues (Michigan car that's expected).

So you don't actually no if the engine is blown or the trans is bad since you've never heard it run?

No i have never heard it run but the person that I bought it from i know very well and has heard it run and has done the regular matainence to it for the previous owner. My friend that I got it from owns an import mechanic shop for BMW's, Audi's, Ferrari's, Lamborghinis, VW's, Toyota's, etc. He bought the car from the guy that would regulalry get the matainence on it because the previous owner was moving down south and no longer needed it for the winter.

So I KNOW the engine isn't blown and the trans isn't bad
