Well I think I am going to part ways with the camaro. I bought this car less than a year ago from mike (mcalus) on here for $6500!

Heres the run down. I really wanted the camaro and was more than happy when I bought it, but I don't have time to maintain it at this point.

I noticed after I got the car that it had a few small drips underneath it on the garage floor. I couldn't find the leak. Well last night I tore into the car (removed alternator and A/C compressor) and it looks like it needs a new water pump, power steering pump, and rack and pinion. The car runs great, but I don't have the time to fix it right now. I drove it to the M/G, and I have driven it all over. The power steering pump started to wine a couple of weeks ago, and I figured that is where the leak was coming from, but after removing the alternator I don't see a leak from the pump but there is small drops of power steering fluid on the rack. I believe that the reason I had the drips is because the water pump was leaking and then blowing back over the oil pan and the bottom side of the car.

The car actually runs great. It has almost 105K miles on it. I think I have put 1200 miles on it since I purchased it at the end of July last year. I have averaged just over 22mpg. I have put all new brakes on it front and back. This included rotors and pads. I also replaced the drivers side wheel bearing and axle last month and put maybe 400 miles on it since then. I have also done 3 oil changes on the car in that time. Once last year before storage, this march when I got it out of storage, and then right before the M/G.

I looked up parts and I can get everything to make it like new for 500 dollars, but again I don't have the time right now. If no one is interested I will hold onto it and fix it this fall when I have more time, and when I want to spend the money, but right now I have other priorities.

So I am asking $5000 firm. If you guys think I am crazy, tell me, it won't hurt my feelings.

Here is mcalus original add for the car. So again I have added new brakes and axle/wheel bearing.

I have owned this car since 68,xxx, I bought it from a man in his 30s from Oklahoma City, OK. He had it since 5,000 miles so he basically bought it new. I have used Pennzoil 5w30 oil in it every oil change (3,000 miles). Some small dings but I have kept the car in good condition. No major stains, interior is in good shape other than some normal wear on drivers seat from getting in. The car shifts and drives smooth with no complaints.

These pictures are from this years MIFBODY M/G

This is exactly the kind of car I want. . . I just can't come up with that kind of cash right now. I need to get my DD paid off first. Maybe if you still have it next spring, I can make it happen. lol

      GLWS!

lol thanks. I do like the car, but if I still have the car next spring it will be fixed and I will be driving it. I would fix it now, but I just dumped 5K into my basement finishing it (which still isn't done) and I also just bought a projector. I can fix the car myself, its nothing major, I just hate having the car sit in my garage if I can't drive it. I also don't want to do the car an injustice and keep driving it. Its drivable now, but I hate having leaks.

I will add this. The car is spotless underneath in the form of rust. It really is a southern car.

Wow Shane! I wish you had the time for it. Sad to see it go (you saw me when I sold it to you lol)

When I orginally bought it, someone else ran the carfax and said no accidents.

Hope to see this go to a good home

I'm considering it. I did just run an autocheck report. zero accidents, 4 owners. Car was in Florida till 2006, then went to LA for a short time, then Oklahoma till 2008 when it was brought to Michigan.

Could you please post pics of the interior and underside?

Thanks, and it is cool knowing the history of the car a little bit.

It is what it is though. I like the car (love driving it), and if no one wants it for 5K I will just fix it up when I have a little extra money. I just overextended myself on finishing my basement right now and it kills me to not be able to drive it. Also, as I posted on here, my wife and I went on an Alaskan cruise last month, so I really don't have 300 dollars right now to fix it. So if no one buys it and I do fix it, I definitely will not be selling it for anything close to 5grand. lol

I gotta ask, what guns are you thinking of getting rid of?
