  • FS: 1992 Corvette

I've decided it's time to part with our 1992 Corvette conv. We've owned this vehilce since the spring of 1998, and it's been in the family since 1993.

Like most everything I own it's all original. The odometer is showing just shy of 53,000 miles. Besides the standard 1992 options this Red on Red, White top Corvette also has dual power Sport seats, and FX3 Selective Ride and Handling. For those that don't know 1992 saw the return of the LT1 under the hood of a Corvette again. This is a very clean, fun, and well documented Corvette. Asking $13,500.

There's only one reason why Scott sells a car...and that's to make space for another one!

      So...what's it going to be?

              Hey Scott,
Is this a 6-speed or an auto? Have the Bose Amplifiers been repaired? Red/Red is a beautiful color combination!

So clean.... why don't guys put those valve covers on F-bodies? They looks so much better than the F-body ones.....

Good luck Scott - I hope it gets replaced by a 30th!

LOL, thanks guys for the compliments and guesses on what's next. Really though, I have no immediate plans to "replace it".

The car is an automatic, and the Bose works fine (or at least it's loud and clear enough for me, not a big listener of music while I'm driving.).......in other words I've never had a reason to the have the amplifiers repaired. Fill me in Matt was there a recall on them or is just a common Corvette issue???

Oh nothing big, just a small capacitor in the amps that goes bad - the speakers start to crack and pop and so on. My 91 has 17k miles and a broken bose system, antenna and all. I would consider the fact that your Bose system works is indicative of the maintenance and care the car has received its entire life. I'd advertise the fact that the stock stereo works great - big plus!

Thanks for the info Matt was never aware of that being a common problem......I'll make sure to point it out to any potential buyers.
