Well, I am looking to sell my 1988 Trans Am GTA, what with graduating from high school and wanting to start a family I am in need of another car and need to get rid of my babies.
The GTA only has 103,000 on the original motor but the transmission was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago and we put in a lightweight torque converter to free up some power and improve the efficiency. The car does have a crack in the front facia on the driver side and a dent due to a fallen tree limb but that can be easily be fixed, the other "major" issue with the car is sometimes the driver side headlight doesn't come up but all you have to do is pop the hood and turn the knob and it comes up, the part is included to fix that. This car also has 3" exhaust all the way back to the flowmaster muffler but uses stock exhaust manifolds, also this car does have an aluminum driveshaft. I drive the car everyday and there is nothing mechanically wrong with it, I absolutely love the car but sadly she must go. Lastly the ONLY spot of rust on the car is the one on the fender because of the limb, after I drove it around the block in the winter I put it on a lift and power-washed the salt off.
The Trans Am on the other side has been in an accident due to driving it in the winter it slid into a pole at about 35mph, only did cosmetic damage. This car has 140,000 on the rusted out body but only about 7,000 on the motor. We picked up the motor from 5-Star Engines down in Arizona, the specs are as follows:
-Competition Camshaft
-Custom Head Valve Job
-Summit Shorty Headers
-Edelbrock Performer TBI
-Stage One Performance Chip
While the Trans Am is a TBI motor the only thing you have to do to it to put it in the GTA would be to swap the intakes then you should be sitting at 350bhp before chip tune. This car also has 17" American Racing Cartel rims that would look killer powder coated on the GTA in the gold and gunmetal style.
I may also consider trades for a 4-door econobox, Honda Hatch, VW Hatch, Corolla, Camry, you have it and its nice, shoot me a message!
Will have some recent pictures for y'all soon!
Looking for $4,000 for both but cash in hand talks.
