  • 1998 Camaro Z28 for sale

Well, i haven't even had this thing for a year yet, and have put more money into it than use, but due to recent financial changes, it would ease my money issues if i were to sell the Car, so here it is:

The car is a 1998 Z28 that has been done up as a SS clone, with an SS hood and spoiler, it has leather interior out of a 1997 30th anniversary, and the leather is clean. The color is Bright Green Metallic, and is a rare color for 98, only 323 Z28's made that year in this color, and a rare color period for Camaro's. It has approx. 98,000 on the body, i would have to check the odometer for exact mileage, i just pulled it out of winter storage, and prior to purchasing was told that the motor might have been swapped, and if true, this motor has approx. 30,000-40,000 on it? I can in no way verify that, but the car does run great and makes no noise or burn any oil, It runs like a fresh motor, no leaks drips, problems, car runs and idles great, never any problems or worries from me or previous owner. Always had Mobil 1, and i just did a fresh change last weekend, along with a few add-ons that are listed below.

~Newer Bright Green Metallic paint by Jason(Smooth)(Paint/Body are a 10/10. Several steps above a Factory Paint Job. Probably $5k worth of paint work.)
    ~Spotless Leather Interior (From a 30th Anniversary)
    ~SS Hood & Wing
~***Newer Chrome 18x10.5" C5Zo6's($2000 worth of Newer Wheels/Tires) Hankook 285/35 in front, and MT ET Street radials 305/35/18 in back..less than 200 miles on tires. Have receipts for tires/wheels
    ~Berger Tail Panel
    ~Whistler Modded Headlights
~Limo Tint on hatch & 20% on Side Windows
    ~SS sway bar
~New 4l65e with upgraded Sunshell Servo's and Bands
    ~B&M Progressive shift kit
~New Circle D "+4C" Torque Converter with only 200 miles on it. Stalls right around 4k with all the bolt-ons. Billet Front Cover and Billet Piston. Has Anti-Ballooning Plates. Despite the higher stall drives great on the street. (Cost $900 new alone)
~Heavy Duty Trans Cooler, and i have a larger one that might be installed by time of sale.
    ~10 bolt Differential w/ 3.42 Gear
    ~160 Thermostat
~1 3/4" Primary Jet Hot Longtubes
~Custom mufflex/spintech 3" y-pipe to 4" stainless catback single in 4" dual 3" outlet spintech muffler, sounds awesome.
~MTI High flow air lid w/K&N air filter
    ~New Black MSD Wires
    ~New NGK TR55 spark plugs
    ~Ported Throttle Body
    ~Smooth Bellow
~Factory Monsoon***-replaced with pioneer aftermarket headunit. can swap back to monsoon, as i still have it.
***-BMR weld-in frame ties installed last week, as well as new tubular LCA's and PHB from founder performance. As well as new brakes all around, cross drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads, and painted the calipers red epoxy.

I have paperwork/receipts for the tires/wheels, and converter. The converter has one free reflash from Circle D.

    Made a payment---Price Drop

Price on the car is gonna have to be $9,000/8,500 firm, which i know is high for a 1998, but the money is there in car and parts, i could drop the price some, and keep the wheels and tires off the car and either you bring your own, or i have another set of rims to sell with the car...17" black ZR1's with rear rim damage on one rim that has been repaired(welded crack) with drivable tires that need replacing. Car is very clean underneath, and matches up with previous owner stating it was a western car, no rust, just cobwebs from sitting in storage. Willing to work a deal, but i have a bottom line. I can't take a bath on this, or it makes no sense to sell, so i will be brutally honest with all offers and negotiations, not a dick, but if i'm gonna lose my ass on the sale, then i'll keep the car and continue enjoying it, and lose my ass monthly on debt payments to credit cards. Just want to be honest up front to all, but based upon modifications included/removed, that will affect pricing to potential buyers.

    Thanks for looking,
    Jason

No pics since out of storage, but all you would see is the red calipers and new rotors...And the SS badges are gone, prefer the clean look...These are from fall before storage, or previous owner's interior pics.

Gorgeous car. Good luck with the sale! It would be good to see it stay in the MiFbody family!

In case anyone in wondering, Jayson.."smooth" is a previous owner, and the one who painted the car. And my comment in the ad about multiple owners is copy/pasted from another local forum where there have been a couple owners of this car, all have been happy with it.

Now would be a better time to be enjoying this stuff, not selling it, but it is just making the finances really tight, so i'm trying to be responsible, and trim the fat from the budget, once again to be camaroless, really a bummer, don't fell good about letting it go ecspecially with all i have done to it so quickly. She is truly ready to roll with nothing to do but drive at this point. Had thoughts of doing the power tour this summer, glad i didn't register yet.

Long since sold, hated to see it go, and still miss it.

I saw the current owner at a car show this summer, and he still loves the car. Wish i had that catback on my current car, i love the sound of Spintech exhaust on F-bodies, and with my cam, it would be a beast.

Already have a replacement in the garage. It is funny how life and family change plans frequently.

Already counting down to springtime to pull the new one out of storage......
